1. General

These general terms and conditions apply to all car rentals from Norrrent AB (org.no 5591081178) at Kallaxvägen 1, 972 54 Luleå.

By entering into a rental agreement with Norrrent, the renter accepts these terms in full. Any deviations must be agreed in writing.

2. Rental Period and Prices

The rental period begins at the time specified in the rental agreement and runs until the agreed return time. The price includes:

  • Base rental according to current price list
  • Full insurance (CDW + theft protection)
  • Specified free mileage
  • Winter tires during October-April
  • 24/7 roadside assistance

All prices include VAT (25%).

3. Driver Requirements

The following requirements apply to rent a car from Norrrent:

  • Minimiålder 21 år
  • Valid driver's license held for at least 2 years (original document required)2 år (originalhandling krävs)
  • Valid identification (passport, national ID card or Swedish driver's license)
  • Payment card in the renter's name (Visa, Mastercard)

Deposit

Deposit: SEK 7 000 for foreign driver's licenses. No deposit required for Swedish driver's licenses. 4. Insurance and Deductible

All our rental cars are fully insured. Insurance is always included in the rental price!

Low deductibles!

With us, the standard deductible is only SEK 10,000 - and you can easily reduce it to SEK 0 with our zero deductible add-on.

5. Vehicle Use

The rental car may only be used for normal use. It is prohibited to:

  • Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Use the car for racing or speed tests
  • Transport passengers for payment
  • Drive outside Sweden without written approval (see driving abroad below)
  • Smoke in the car (cleaning fee of SEK 2,000 applies)
  • Have pets in the car without approval (cleaning fee of SEK 1,500 for violation)
  • Let unauthorized persons drive the vehicle

🌍 Driving abroad

Driving in Norway and Finland is permitted with advance notice. Additional insurance applies:

  • Norway/Finland: SEK 100/day
  • Other EU: SEK 300/day (requires approval)

6. Fuel and Mileage

The car is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. Otherwise, a fuel surcharge plus service fee will be charged.

Miles driven beyond free mileage are charged according to the current price list (SEK 3-4/10km depending on car category).

7. Return

The car must be returned at the agreed place and time. For late returns:

  • Up to 60 minutes late: No extra cost
  • 1-3 hours late: 50% of daily rate
  • Over 3 hours late: Full daily rate

8. Damages and Accidents

In case of damage or accident, the renter must immediately:

  • Contact Norrrent at 0920 999 86
  • For personal injury: Call 112
  • Fill in damage report
  • Document the damage with photos
  • If crime suspected: Report to police

9. Cancellation

Cancellation can be made free of charge as follows:

  • Daily Rental: Upp till 24 timmar före hämtning
  • Weekly Rental: Upp till 48 timmar före hämtning
  • Monthly Rental: Upp till 7 dagar före hämtning

10. Disputes

Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through dialogue between the parties. If agreement cannot be reached, Swedish law applies and the dispute is settled in Luleå District Court.

Consumers can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
